Why did you choose to go to Lyon, France?

because of the University of Lyon III where they do Languages. And also because of the city which is a really nice city to live in.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

A degree is 3 years. 2 more years for a masters and 2 or 3 more years for a PhD.
You can get money from the CAF (Caisse d'Allocations Familiales) for your rent, and money from the CROUS (grant) but this depends on your parents' income.
I got the CAF (about 150€ per month) but not the grant and it helped me a lot.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lyon?

Very good, a lot of parties organized by the university. You also have the opportunity to meet erasmus people at university which is very good if you want to study abroad.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lyon to other students?

Yes !

No

How much does it cost to live in Lyon?

It depends on where you live, but about 500€ a month

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes. English, Spanish, French and other languages.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lyon from your city?

Car, only takes about 1h20 from Annecy (my hometown) compared to about 2 hours by train.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lyon?

Les poupées Russes, Ayers Rock, Ayers Boat, United Café...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lyon?

I don't remember the names of the restaurant I went to, but the ones in Vieux Lyon are very good.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Fourvières, Vieux Lyon, The Art Museum...
