How is living in Lyon? Would you recommend it? How's the city?

Lyon is a beautiful city. I like saying that it is the same as Paris without its disadvantages... There is less pollution, less people (even though we can't avoid the traffic!), it's calmer, there are plenty of things to see and do and so on... I would highly recommend it!

How's students life in Lyon?

It's very good, there are events going on every Thursday night...! The universities do a lot to invent and create festive events!

What's the living cost in Lyon?

Living cost in Lyon is cheaper than Paris, but it's still expensive. University residences are very expensive and so, students prefer to share a flat (you might find a place for € 200 per person with housing benefit included for a nice flat).

Is it hard to find an accommodation in Lyon? Any recommendations?

Houses free up quite often, there are new ones, old ones, rotten ones, beaitiful ones... You can find anything quite easily. There are lots of ways to communicate around flats, networks to share nice houses, to find roommates and so on...

How's the local food? What are your favourite plates?

It's a proper food city for those who love rich food. Lyon restaurants are very nice, but the food is particular: you have to like it. There is any type of restaurant, fast foods like high level restaurants and standard restaurants.

What places would you recommend to visit in Lyon?

Fourvière, Vieux Lyon, Bellecour, quais, parc de la Tête d'Or, Place des terreaux...
