In this moment I must confess my experience is not the best in this place. Despite most of things are nice here and it is a beautiful place, my roommates are making my time here quite difficult. I grew up in normal family in Spain. I'm not exactly the most tidy girl in the world and I'm used to hear my mother complaining about my room since I was a little girl.

My love for languages made me try to move from my comfortable place at home in Spain when I was 23 to London during one month only (grants are not helping too much in this sense). Since then I tried several times and last year I got my Erasmus to come to Lublin and work in a company as part of my studies. What I found here:

I use Spanish in company to help them with relationship with Spanish companies and time to time English. I feel useful some days and really useless other days listening Polish language and not being able to understand.

I study Polish language in KUL. I already knew this place after coming for summer school so I thought it can be good place to improve my poor Polish.

In the company I'm working at I'm learning Russian but if my Polish is poor my Russian even more.

I use English with people sharing flat with me. They are four Polish Law students in UMCS. They are the most untidy and dirty people I've ever live with. It may be weird in a student, but I enjoy clean places. It helps me to concentrate. Things around are tidy, notes are tidy... everything is good. With them... I already lost my wish to use common areas. I prefer to spend time in my room almost not crossing a word with them.

In winter time I really have no mood to put a feet in street... It's so cold in the street for me and I'm not used to snow. In Murcia snow is really rare and you need to look for it in mountain areas.

I feel also this kind of Erasmus is making me apart of the rest of students. I'm not studying in any university here officially. My program makes me work in a company where people have their own lives and despite being kind to me they are out of my social life and free time. In KUL I met some Erasmus students but I'm, out of most of their programs and also their activities. I tried to ask for some activities to join and meet people but no way.

I'm teaching some Spanish to a Polish woman. She is teacher in a school near central station PKS. This is bringing some action to my peacefull life here.

I still have some time to try to get the good side of Lublin and I hope Spring will bring more chances to do it. For the moment, I need to learn to live in snow and find the right clothes for this weather not to stop my life.
