My experience as a "Travel Writer"

I used to write small books when I was younger, but I've never published any. Of course, you are never happy with what you write. Typical things that your crazy mind can think are: "You could do more", "You could have done better" and so on.

However, writing has always been a passion of mine, even if my strength is without a doubt, talking. Anyhow it seems now that I am not so bad as a writer, after all. Having my own blog, having my own audience on my youtube channel and my twitter, where I share my experiences travelling abroad, the several languages I know and even my most stupid and deepest thoughts.

However, it is never enough. In fact, I saw a job offer here on Erasmusu published by an online newspaper based in London. They were looking for travel writers. I thought then: "What's better than writing about something that I love to do unconditionally? " Travel. Bum, that's perfect!

And so here I am named after 'author' on the travel section of the Daily News Service.

I have walked and wondered a lot before I have arrived here and finally decided to stop for a little while. Now, I am enjoying a little bit of self-confidence when writing articles in a language that is not mine, English.

And as the post suggests, excuses and results don't match, it's either one or the other. Therefore, yes, if you have a passion, go for it, and go harder or don't go at all.

I am, indeed, very proud of myself and I am happy to have had the chance to do this amazing experience, which I am sure will be very useful for my future. I have learned how important is the experience itself. It is, in fact, not merely the amount of money you can possibly earn from that particular experience that should count the most, but rather the knowledge you can get from the experience itself. Of course, money helps to keep motivated, but it's also true that what you are learning now can be added in your curriculum and give you a lot more money later, when you will definitely find a better job. Job, that is worth and that you probably profoundly like.

Anyway, this experience of mine, is costless as I can work from home: I do not have to travel or eat out for lunch or have to stress too much. However, as I live in London, I would maybe have not complained about the travelling part, if I had to do that, because I am glad I'm living in such a beautiful city with such an eclectic life.
