All of this is waiting for you in London

What I loved and do love the most about London is the diversity of people that live in the city; where people live together freely and with open minds; capable to intertwine different lifestyles.

London is a very atmospheric city and a city that, although they say it's always raining, is very enjoyable. I recommend you to wander around, go into all the neighbourhoods and discover the London that many people do not know; those hidden but enchanting corners.

Visit all of the neighbourhoods, you will be able to verify that they are full of activities; with numerous shops, museums and many parks to relax, walk and take a break in. It's impressive how well cared-for everything is.

Now, I would recommend you to be punctual. If there is something that British people don't like, it's impunctuality.

And, of course, relax and take a break in one of the many parks of London.

If there was something I loved in London, it was Camden Town, without a doubt. It's like I was in another city, another world. It's a little bit far out from the centre, but with a lot of things to see, music with DJ's, numerous shops... And great atmosphere, of course.

I visited it on a Saturday morning, taking advantage of going on a relaxing walk to see the market and then afterwards, obviously I was hungry and I bought something to eat from one of the stalls.

It's an essential place!

Go up the London Eye, an activity that surely won't be missed on your tour guide, maybe all of us who go to London have planned to climb the Ferris wheel! I enjoyed one of the best views of London, where you have Big Ben, Westminster Palace and the Thames at your feet. It actually makes up the most well-known image of London.

Endure the vertigo a little and come up. Impressive!

Attention! For the curious, did you know that Big Ben is not the well-known Clock Tower that has become an icon of London, but instead, Big Ben is the bell that gives the hours.

Would you go to London without visiting the most famous bridge? I loved it, honestly I loved everything in London, so we are kidding ourselves. But it was fascinating to cross >strong>Tower Bridge which, if you feel the same curiosity that I felt, you can go inside the tower and discover the way the machine works that makes the bridge open.

And, of course, don't forget the typical photo of Tower Bridge. You have to keep your memories engraved in your mind from from your trip to London.

Illuminated, it's impressive!

Visit one of the areas where the most atmosphere in the city and where the most parties are held - Piccadilly Circus. This square is small but very well-known; it's clear that the thing that attracts people's attention the most (not only to me during my trip, but to everybody) are the luminous signs, and the Fountain of Eros in the center.

A square full of atmosphere no matter where you look, with many shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres... I can't say anything more, you have to see it for yourself like I did in this moment.

Essential! Like so many things in London, it was the British Museum where I was stunned by the Egyptian room, the mummies and the Rosetta Stone, and of course, a museum that houses several of the world's most famous works.

You can't miss it!

Another essential thing on my tour guide was Buckingham Palace, the official residence of Queen Elizabeth II.

Visit it during the Change of the Guard; it will be almost impossible for you to see it, as there are so many tourists concentrated there in that moment; but you can't miss it.

Go for a walk through Chinatown, enjoy trying the Chinese food at their rather accessible prices. Chinatown is within the Soho district, I found everything inside it: traditional shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants of every kind... And of course, it's full of life during day or night.

Enjoy it!

As it's very normal in London to see people everywhere always on the move, and with a lot of activity; Trafalgar Square would not be any different, so I recommend that you sit down in this square which is so well known and lively.

You can also see the National Gallery in this square. I didn't get to see it but I do know that you will be able to find works of art inside by Rembrandt, Velázquez, Van Gogh... And much more.

The Tower of London; a huge castle where, among other things, you can visit the Crown Jewels, you can see orbs, swords, sceptres, and many more things here. Also, the White Tower, Medieval Palace or the Royal Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula.

It is a must-see!

Get to know the neighbourhood that became famous for the movie Notting Hill, the neighbourhood with the same name as the movie - it's worth taking a walk into it, rest and have a drink in their cafes; visit their stores and bookstores.

In addition to this, there is another market within this neighbourhood, the Portobello Market, which for me, is not as flashy or ambient as Camden.

Undoubtedly, London has many places to visit, many squares, many places with atmosphere, many parks to rest in, and many museums to see. Therefore, make the most of every moment, walk a lot and travel a lot; if not, there will always be the London Tourist Bus.

But... Enjoy it!

I can't fit everything that you can see in London into such a small space, so I'll leave behind places like the Museum of Natural History, the picturesque neighbourhood of Covent Garden, the famous Cathedral of St. Paul, St. James' Park, the oldest of the Royal Parks that will allow you to disconnect; go to the most luxury and famous department store in London - Harrods. And to disconnect, Hyde Park... Take into account that there is still much more to do and visit in London, apart from all of this.

And if you are considering studying in London, make sure you check out this post on the best universities to help you decide!
