What is it like to live in Ljubljana? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
City is small and quiet with a nice city centre. Bring your jogging shoes as there is large city forest and castle hill that are great places for run as well as walking path that surrounds the city (path of enclosed city during 2nd WW)
What is the student lifestyle like in Ljubljana?
Ljubljana is student (university city) and city has decent student life with lots of coffee shops, galleries and places to mingle.
How much does it cost to live in Ljubljana?
Student apartments are from 200eur/month (+costs). You can get student coupons for food so you can eat from 3eur for a lunch. You can come through month with 500eur.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ljubljana? Is there any advice you can give?
It is not difficult to find a flat. Also look at older adds (1-2weeks). Look for flats on coty bus lines and inside the ring (highway)
What places would you recommend visiting in Ljubljana?
Metelkova, city centre and Ljubljanica river steps (city beach), city forest (Rožnik) - nice pub on the top.
Is it good to eat out in Ljubljana? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Sushimama - best sushi ever (bit expensive but worth it), Ylzid Han - turkish, Mana - good modern slovenian, Tandori on Trubarjeva -great indian (awesome sandwiches)
Is the nightlife good in Ljubljana? Where is good to go?
Nightlife is not the best but there are few good options - Orto, Cvetličarna, Cirkus and Metlekova, Rog
What advice would you give future students heading to Ljubljana?
Learn at least few slovenian words it makes wonders when shopping in market or ordering a coffee. People might seem a bit cold at first but when you get to know them you make friends for ever.
