Why did you choose to go to Ljubljana, Slovenia?

Because my country has low standard for students and also I want to continue my education in place there are a lot of opportunities for young people.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

You should know that I am not erasmus student, but I am foreign student from Macedonia. All of my living cost are paid by myself.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ljubljana?

Here is so beautiful. Everything is okay, starting with the society, then the student and night life and ending with the food which is not so expensive. I like the way that you can go everywhere in the city by bicycle.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ljubljana to other students?

Yes, I am highly recommending this city and also the University here in Ljubljana. If they decide to study here, they will have an opportunites to learn by high-knowledge professors and to take a practice with so good stuff.

What is the food like?

Slovenian food is one of the best I had tasted. It is homemaked by good chief. Also it is not expensive for those people who live there and one more thing to say is that students could have a bon which give them a really low prices for food in the restoraunts and place for food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ljubljana?

Not at all. These days everything is on the internet. The landlord is really good man and we have a top comunication.

How much does it cost to live in Ljubljana?

Hm, I thihk that everyone has a different experience by these questions. I will not say how is my situation but I can say that a student will cost to live in Ljubljana from 250 to 300 euros maximum. (or more if the rent costs is bigger)

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yeah good question. On the beginning I have thinked that I wouldn't have any troubles with language. But here is something different cause the language is really special. That means that you should to take care of it. As a balkan man I can say that I need maximum 6 months to understand it enough. And also for those students who are not slovenian or they are foreign, there are language courses available on the University which are free.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ljubljana from your city?

I came by bus because I have a loth of things to bring here. The time which is take from my city to Ljubljana is average 17 hours if you go by buss or 15 if you go by car. But now I am going to Macedonia by plane and think that it is better way to travel on the longer destiantions.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ljubljana?

Ljubljana has a lot of night clubs and good restoraunts or place where you can drink a good coffee and taste delicious food. There are a lot of coffee bars which are placed by the river. Cirkus, Top six and Troja lounge and bar are good clubs where you can experience a night life here.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Ljubljana?

Yes Ljubljana has a good restaurants with high performances. Mexicana, Jo Penas, Seherezada, Marjetica(the best and chipest one) and Jet Bar are for some delicious food.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

First one is the Ljubljana Castle from where you can see the most part of the city and also can see the historical periods there. Then you have a St. Nikola church, the slovenian theater, museums and the old town which is located by the river.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Ljubljana in the future?

I can say a lot of things but it is different when they will come here and see how the life is going. Because here you should focus on the studies and after that, when you are done, you can go out and chill out. Just come and see how the life is dynamic here.
