What is the student lifestyle in Ljubljana?

It's great, there are a lot of Erasmus students from all over the place and 70% of the Slovenian population of Ljubljana are under the age of 30.

How much does it cost to live in? Ljubljana

You can live very comfortably off of €400-500 a month.

To give you an idea, the student residences cost between €70 and €100 a month. There's a system there for students to eat, there are daily menus in a lot of the city's restaurants, they cost from €1 to €4. 37.

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Ljubljana? Do you have any advice?

It wasn't difficult for me, since the university got me a place in the residence and I did all of the paperwork with them. If you want a flat, the ESN student association will help you out with that.

What is the food like there? What are some of your favourite dishes?

There is a lot of Italian influence on the food there, they don't have any traditional foods themselves, there are dishes like goulash and börek... which are typical of the area that was Yugoslavia.

Where would you recommend to visit in Ljubljana?

Everything, it's very small so you can see the whole city in one day. The centre is beautiful, the castle is unique in its location, Metelkova is an area that squatters have converted into a different, peculiar neighbourhood, but it has a great atmosphere.

My favourite places were: Legend, Cantina Mejicana, Tartuffo.
