What is it like to live in Ljubljana? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Ljubljana is awesome! It's a small city and very lovely. I would really recommend Ljubljana to everyone. I lived in Ljubljana for 6 years and it was the best years!

What is the student lifestyle like in Ljubljana?

If you like parties? Than you should live in student dormitory in Rožna dolina. The place is fuul of students and a really good place to be. Near the nature and the city center.

How much does it cost to live in Ljubljana?

Ljubljana isn't so cheap, but the student doormats are cheap! You should probably avoid the restaurants near castle and bar's near the river Ljubljanica - because they are for tourists and prices can be 2 times bigger than in ordinary place

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ljubljana? Is there any advice you can give?

You can easily found a place in Ljubljana. You have to write to Študentski domovi v Ljubljani.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food for students? Slovenia is a perfect county for that. Ass students get student coupons for food, you can eat in a lot of good restaurants for only 4.4€ or less. You can find mexian, asian, thai, slovenish type, italian restaurants.

What places would you recommend visiting in Ljubljana?

Ljubljana is a small city but you should visit the city center, the castle, the market ( in summer is a open market every friday and they are selling nice food), the near hills are aproachable by public transportation ( šmarna gora, krn, rožnik) some lakes and a river near by, big park Tivoli. As Slovenia is very small, you can easily visit all of the county from Ljubljana, and make a day trips to mountains, to see side, to caves and more

Is it good to eat out in Ljubljana? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are a lot of good restaurants.

Is the nightlife good in Ljubljana? Where is good to go?

You have some student bars, and you can also found a bars with more specific music. Metlekova is also a place to visit!

What advice would you give future students heading to Ljubljana?
