What is it like to live in Ljubljana? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is very green and lovely, not too loud or too noisy. People are kind and speak good english, they also like to help if you get lost. It is beautiful city, not too big but you have a lot to see. Very good food everywhere. I recomend it 100%.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ljubljana?

There are plenty of very good universities in Ljubljana you can choose from. Mostly they are all free for students. There are many pubs, caffes and clubs for students. Easy to get a student job there as well. It is easy to travel around the city with LPP ticket.

How much does it cost to live in Ljubljana?

It can be a little bit pricey if you want to live in your own appartment in the centre of the city but there are many cheaper options. It is good to have some connections to get the best price for an appartment. Other things are not that expencive (food, clothes, activities, cultural events ...) some are even for free!

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ljubljana? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it is very easy, there are always many appartments, hotel rooms, even houses that are free and can be booked for different periods of time. I would recomend to go search on booking.com and find your ideal option.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

It is so delicious! I am always happy with anything I order. All restaurants are on a highquality level. Especially those in the center of the city, but these are also a bit more pricy. My favorite foods are from an open kitchen in Ljubljana. It is like a big mixture of all kinds of food gathered in one place every summer. People sell their homme made food and it is a delicious event.

What places would you recommend visiting in Ljubljana?

Prešerenov trg, Tromostovje, Ljubljana castle, Rožnik, Modern galery, Drama, Opera, walk through the city, next to Ljubljanica-river.

What advice would you give future students heading to Ljubljana?

Enjoy and have fun! Party all night and meet people. It is very safe and you can trust many people.
