What is it like to live in Ljubljana? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city centre is very nice it has many little restaurants and bars along the Ljubljanica river. It also has many parks and things to do.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ljubljana?

It is more or less good. We have many restaurants with cheaper food for students and student discount. There's are also some clubs where you can party weekly.

How much does it cost to live in Ljubljana?

If we compare it to other cities in Slovenia Ljubljana is one of the most expensive ones (cost of apartments, rooms... )

If we are talking about food the prices are: toast bread 60cents or more, milk around 75cents and more, bananas around 1,10 euro for kilogram, yoghurt (normal 0.5L) 70 cents and more.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ljubljana? Is there any advice you can give?

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I love pizza and Asian food restaurants, but there are many different ones with great food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Ljubljana?

The castle, the centre streets, different museums, bars (nebotičnik bar, because of great view of the City)... I am only here for two years so I am not an expert.

Is it good to eat out in Ljubljana? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, and if they have students menus is also very good.

Burek at žito bakery is my favourite.

Is the nightlife good in Ljubljana? Where is good to go?

It depends on the season, music you like and event or. party theme. If you are a student in Ljubljana in May you do not want to miss party: Škisova tržnica (it is once a year event and almost all students from Ljubljana go and party).

What advice would you give future students heading to Ljubljana?

Just explore the city and find out what you like the most. Enjoy the student life and meet new people. I hope you will like it here.
