Because it was the closest state next to my country

Yes I would.
What is the food like?
Food is one of the best things in Ljubljana.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ljubljana?
No.

Minimum of 500 euros per month(accomodation+food+transportation through city)
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
For people outside balkan area, it is not easy.Language courses are available.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ljubljana from your city?
By train definitely.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The city castle,and the old city centre.
