Why did you choose to go to Ljubljana, Slovenia?

Didn't know a lot about the country and the exchange programme looked promising.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I had a scholarship for 6 months and received about 300 euros/month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ljubljana?

Lots of opportunities to go out eating, lots of events and additional places to party. Centre is really small, but super cosy.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ljubljana to other students?

No doubt, had the best time of my life there. Make sure you don't live to far from the centre.

What is the food like?

Just Google "studentski boni" and be amazed, you can use this almost everywhere.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ljubljana?

First I was in a student dorm in Litostrosjka cesta which was really clean and cheap but far from the centre. I managed to find private accomodation in the centre for about 270 euro's/month.

How much does it cost to live in Ljubljana?

You are on Erasmus, you are not supposed to save money for this.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Slovenian is really hard if you are born in Western Europe, for Eastern European people it is quite ok to learn. Zalod or something organised courses when I was there, but it was not in the university itself.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ljubljana from your city?

By plane (lowcost).

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ljubljana?

Depends on which day you are going out, ask local students, they will know.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Castle, Postojna caves...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Ljubljana in the future?

Go and have a blast.
