Why did you choose to go to Ljubljana, Slovenia?

I talked with some people that have been in Lju and they liked a lot... so I didn´t want to go to countries near by and Slovenia is far enough from Portugal. My choice was Ljubljana because all of that and because I liked what I searched in the internet.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I received just 1000€ for one semester because at the first time I pretended to stay just one semester... but then I stayed one more semester...

What is the student lifestyle like in Ljubljana?

It's really nice and funny to live in Ljubljana as a student. We have a lot of support in terms of restaurant coupons and public transportation. The faculty have really nice people and at night... it is really good to enjoy and have fun with all Erasmus and Slovenian people!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ljubljana to other students?

Of course I recommend! I learned a lot in Ljubljana, the classmates, the teachers, the dormitories, the environment at night... everything is awesome!

What is the food like?

I didn't really try Slovenian food... :\ but I went to a lot of restaurants because of the student coupons we have! And my favorite was DaBuda... a thai restaurant really really good...

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ljubljana?

My rent was 70€ per month in a dorm in Rozna Dolina. And the University and the people who helps Erasmus students helped a lot..

How much does it cost to live in Ljubljana?

Per month I spent 300€

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is really difficult... but it's not a problem because everybody talks English in Slovenia :) There are some courses in the University for who want to learn more other languages, inclusive Slovenian.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ljubljana from your city?

Plain and Train

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ljubljana?

Parlament at Mondays, KMS if you want to have a realy crazy night, TOP if you want to spend more money in a nice disco, Companeros in Erasmus nights, skeleton :D.... So many places... :D

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Ljubljana?

DaBuda is a thai really good restaurant, the pizzas from the students canteen, Cacao to drink a hot chocolate and good cappuccino, please eat Burek and Kebab, Pizzas and Pastas from Foculus, Cantina is a Mexican Restaurant reaaallyy good...

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Castle as a good city view, the Dragon bridge, the bars all over the River Ljubljanika, then in all Slovenia there are wonderful places as: Bled, Postojna, Predjama, Bohinij... Maribor...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Ljubljana in the future?

Have fun!! Ljubljana was the most beautiful place I have been!
