What is it like to live in Le Havre? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is a easy place to live. The heart of the city is quite small but there's a lot of shops, bars and restaurants.
The train station is easy to access and allow direct trip to Rouen and Paris. And buses will take you to various cities like Etretat for a few euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Le Havre?

Depending on the field you study in, parties are organized by students and informations are given mostly through Facebook.
There is a lot of activities to do and places to visit.

How much does it cost to live in Le Havre?

Depending on where you live, the price for an appartment can go quite up, but some can be very affordable. (I don't know about flatsharing or "CROUS" appartment)
It is in any ways cheaper than Rouen.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Le Havre? Is there any advice you can give?

I don't know about what kind of accomodation the university offers, but there is a lot of appartment to rent from private landlord, or through agencies.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There is a lot of restaurant that are not too expensives. A lot a other countries' specialities or fast-food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Le Havre?

During spring, "les jardins suspendus" if you like flowers and walking. Or just a walk by the beach.
There's a lot of churches, museums (modern art : MuMa) and parks

Is it good to eat out in Le Havre? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Sakura - 184 rue du maréchale Joffre (sushis)
Ô Liban - 135 Rue Jules Lecesne (Lebanese)
Wok Up - 61 bis Rue Maréchal Gallieni (thaï)

Is the nightlife good in Le Havre? Where is good to go?

The center is full of bars and there is quite a lot of students out especially on thursday' nights

What advice would you give future students heading to Le Havre?

You will save a lot of money if you visit and go to university by foot, the city is quite flat and can be explore by foot or bike
