Why did you choose to go to Le Havre, France?

Because my university has a campus in Le Havre.

What is the student lifestyle like in Le Havre?

There are different clubs and bars, but not so many. University offers a lot of sports clubs.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Le Havre to other students?

I am studying in Sciences Po Paris campus of Le Havre so, I cannot recommend the University of Le Havre, but I do not recommend the city because it is small, a bit dirty, too quiet and the weather is not good.

What is the food like?

There are not a lot of specific cultural restaurants. I have been in kebab places and also one Chinese restaurant. It was really good. A lot of fast food in the city. Not so many restaurants tho. If you live on the hill, it is really beautiful.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Le Havre?

I live in Crous residence.

How much does it cost to live in Le Havre?

Around 600 euros per month including rent cost.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

University has Spanish, Russian, German and this is all I know. People in the city do not speak English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Le Havre from your city?

I am from Kazakhstan so only by plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Le Havre?

Black Cafe probably, because clubs here are not good.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Le Havre?

Palais de Topkapi and La Mian.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Muma - museum of modern arts, but I haven't visited it yet.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Le Havre in the future?

Umbrellas will not help you. I had 2 umbrellas and both of them are broken. Weather is really bad here.

Because the city is small and quiet, sometimes you can feel lonely if you live alone. So I would recommend doing colocation.
