What is it like to live in Lagos? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is fun and full of variety of people from different ethnicity. You can learn a lot and make tons of friends. But like any other city it can be dangerous so beware, pay attention to your environment and be careful who you talk to.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lagos?

Pretty entertaining. There's so much to do in and out of school. So many events happening around the city and cool places to visit.

How much does it cost to live in Lagos?

The standard of living in Lagos is pretty high. It is quite expensive in some areas and not as expensive in others. In some areas, you can spend a little as 50,000 naira for a full day of fun and in others 50,000 naira can be gone in an hour or less

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lagos? Is there any advice you can give?

No there's is a lot of houses and apartments available in all areas of the city. New buildings, renovated buildings and old buildings. There are numerous agents that can help find apartments and houses but you pay na agent fee of 5000 naira or less for them to show you around and you also pay for their transport. Be careful not to pay any agent without actually meeting them physically and confirming that they have what you asked for. Also be careful where you go to meet them and ensure you tell someone of your whereabouts. Kidnappers and thieves abound and people are desperate

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food. Ahhhh that's life. There's so many food from different ethnicity and even different countries. There's l numerous eateries, restaurants and street vendors where you can get delicious delicacies at various prices. Some more hygienic than the other but you'll know to avoid them. I especially love the local foods such as Amala, Two, donkunu which is another countries delicacy. Also there's Shiro in VI that offers Japanese, Korean, Thai and Mediterranean cuisines. Also places like chicken republic and seven eagles where you can get fish and chips, chicken and chips... Then there's coldstone if you are craving some ice cream and Debonairs for some delicious pizza

What places would you recommend visiting in Lagos?

The lekki conservative center, Tarkwa bay beach, Nike Art center, The National Museum, Elegushi Beach, Slay house Karaoke, Ikeja city mall and so on..

Is it good to eat out in Lagos? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes it is. You will be treated to some amazing delicacies.

Rhapsody's
Noir restaurant

Is the nightlife good in Lagos? Where is good to go?

Of course. For the time go to
Limehouse Bar, Club DNA, Club Uno...

What advice would you give future students heading to Lagos?

As much as it is important to have fun and flex. Do not get carried away with that life and forget your studies. The best way to enjoy is to properly balance your school life and social life. That way one won't affect the other and you won't end up losing.
