It was my very first time visiting Lagos, I have to say, I was excited. On landing, I paid $25 been a Kenyan citizen, to immigration customs before I was checked out.

I took a cab using Bolt app to go get an hotel room. My first hotel was Eco hotels, it was fully booked. Then intercontinental hotel,, also fully booked. My last hope was radisson blue anchorages, there, I found a room, checked in and straight up ordered one large chicken barbecue pizza to my room. I was starving. My flight from JKIA Nairobi to Lagos was 5 hours. It took me another 3 hours to get to Victoria Island where I was to stay. The traffic was crazy. It took me a while to adjust to the 2 hours time difference. NOTE, This is the first time I have travelled so far from home.

The weather is super hot throughout the day and night. I have no problem adjusting to this because most buildings are well air conditioned. I also prefer a hot weather as I'm easily infective to tonsillitis.

I didn't try much of the Nigerian cuisine because of the amount of pepper in them. Being solo on this trip, I avoided anything that could get me in trouble like, food poisoning, public transportation and late night parting.

I however visited the arts and crafts market and did shopping on handbags ankara clothes and paintings. Most of the time I was at the hotel, eit.her swimming or socialising with other hotel residents
