What is it like to live in Lagos? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Lagos amazing, there are many places to go to have fun like beach, cinema, malls, spa, restaurants and concerts.

Lagos is a Cheap to live in if you bring your own car or have many friends then you can take Uber. Apart from transport costs, the rest is cheap. Food is cheap even hotels are cheap too. Depends on your taste.

There are a lot of cars on Lagos roads, so expect traffic jams at peak hours of the day like 8am and then 4pm

I must warn you about mosquitoes though, try bring some mosquito repellent and also take some anti-malaria drugs.

Lagos is a beautiful place.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lagos?

Busy busy busy. Lagos students take their studies extra serious.
However on weekends, they do know how to loosen up. Many visit bars, malls and church on weekends.

How much does it cost to live in Lagos?

200000 Naira can last you months here if you don’t spend lavishly.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lagos? Is there any advice you can give?

There are agents that help you find accommodation in Lagos. Or you could ask locals if they know someone who has an empty flat. Lagosians are always eager to help.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Jollof rice, spaghetti, fried late night food like yams, dodo, sweet potato, turkey and Suya.
Lagos food will have you drooling. Especially the ones sold at night.

A big plus is fresh organic vegetables and fruits everyday in Lagos for as little as 100 Naira.

What places would you recommend visiting in Lagos?

Beach, gardens, art galleries

Is it good to eat out in Lagos? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, eat at pizza joints, kfc, mr bigggs, bukkahut, and you should really try local food sellers Amala and Ewedu served hot with assorted meat

Is the nightlife good in Lagos? Where is good to go?

I don’t go for Lagos nightlife because it is a bit too adventurous for me. But if you love it then you can go to clubs there are many in Lagos

What advice would you give future students heading to Lagos?

Explore Lagos and take advantage of all opportunities , find mini jobs and also make new friends
