What is it like to live in Lagos? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Lagos is a fast paced city, in Nigeria. It is a perfect blend of different cultures and a place where every race will feel at home. Lagos ofcourse is divided very clearly between the upper, middle and lower class. But each class suffers the same problem when it comes to the traffic - a very important characteristic of Lagos.
What is the student lifestyle like in Lagos?
Just like anywhere else, students can provide for themselves a good lifestyle if adequately blessed prepared.
How much does it cost to live in Lagos?
Lagos is pretty much an expensive city in Nigeria. Depending on how one's standard is, a student can live on a budget of N50,000 a month excluding accommodation.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lagos? Is there any advice you can give?
It is not rocket science finding an accommodation in Lagos. Best to be on ground to inspect any property before paying. Look out for properties during the rainy season to avoid flooding issues after you move in.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The best place to enjoy a variety of dishes...... is in Lagos. From hotspots "mamaput" to traditional meals to continental dishes, you will definitely find your match in Lagos.. ofcourse try the popular Nigerian Jollof rice and ram suya.

What advice would you give future students heading to Lagos?
With all the good things, also expect the bad. Avoid crowded places if you are un familiar with the environment. Hold on yo your personal belongings. Use uber or taxing to move around. And generally be careful and always look out.
