What is it like to live in Kuala Lumpur? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Kuala Lumpur is one of the big-bustling developing city in Southeast Asia. It is packed of skyscrappers and a mixture of old and new architecture. There are so many different races living in Kuala Lumpur. It's a metropolitan city, totally different from Europe.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kuala Lumpur?

Since I was here for my internship. Other fellow international interns used to go for drinks after office hours. During the weekend we usually travel to other southeast asia countries with low budget airlines.

How much does it cost to live in Kuala Lumpur?

accomodation is around 400 euro. WIth transportation and everything 600-euro will be good.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kuala Lumpur? Is there any advice you can give?

Be careful when choosing your apartment or condominium with other expats. There are many scams that happened in Kuala Lumpur. Makes sure that your agent is the real agent and make sure that you always have contact with the real owner of the apartment. Know where is the nearest police station and also always be vigilant there are many pickpockets on the streets.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is amazing. There are so many interesting and a bit bizzare food that you can find here. From roti canai to nasi lemak, each has different flavor to offer!

Is it good to eat out in Kuala Lumpur? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes! Baan 26 at Changkat Bukit Bintang
KGB burgers at Bangsar's jalan Telawi
Ben's restaurant at KLCC
Ciccio italian restaurant at Changkat Bukit Bintang

Is the nightlife good in Kuala Lumpur? Where is good to go?

There are few clubs that you can go to:
zouk
butter factory
providence
lust
the rest are bars, like in changkat and bangsar.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kuala Lumpur?

travel as much as you can to other countries. like Jogjakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, Phnom Penh and do a full moon party at Koh Phangan Thailand!
