What is it like to live in Kuala Lumpur? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Kuala Lumpur is a hectic town where a lot of people from many city wish to lived. There's a lot of education and working area for people whom seek for it. The time you look up for studying, you also can enjoying live in Kuala Lumpur cause a lot of entertainment place to have.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kuala Lumpur?

You are freely to where any attires but must be wore with polite, fully-covered. But if you applied a private University/college, it would be freedom of wear.

How much does it cost to live in Kuala Lumpur?

I can say middle-high cost, but its if you wish to rent a house. Most of student, they prefer to pay the hostel rental which easier and affordable for them. You might say quiet expensive for food if you are from a country with lower currency rate of Malaysia. A plate of nasi Pataya you could even have RM6. If you plan to cook, buy groceries at 'Pasar Borong' it is cheaper than in Supermarket. But it's open only in the morning until afternoon.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kuala Lumpur? Is there any advice you can give?

There's a lot if you know how to find it but most University will give you an option either to stay in hostel as their given or rent a room/house outside the University. Website that might helps you to find a room is mudah.my (no worries if you don't speak Malay language but make sure you know how to speak English). One more thing, if you wish to live in Kuala Lumpur, please find a room/house a little far (if you wish cheaper), near town (if you wish higher cost)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Main meal in Malaysia is rice. But you don't have to worry if you don't used to eat it, Malaysia is a heaven place of food. But, make sure you remind a waiter for not having a spicy food which you ordered (we are crazier of spicy taste) most of food are spicy even little, but if you're not used to it, you might get red.

You waste your daily meal if you don't try 'nasi lemak', 'roti canai' for breakfast. It's a must! Including 'kuih-muih'. Go for 'teh tarik panas' to have Malaysian taste of drink.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kuala Lumpur?

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) for sure, it's a meaningful of Malaysia. While having a sightseeing, go shopping inside the KLCC which called Suria KLCC. Visit Muzium Negara, you will know our true cultures and colourful of races.

Is it good to eat out in Kuala Lumpur? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes! If you started to feel boring in Kuala Lumpur, go for Penang. Penang is heaven of food in Malaysia. Try 'Nasi Kandar', 'Pasembor', 'Char Kuey Teow' and a lot. You will love it, at least once in a lifetime.

Is the nightlife good in Kuala Lumpur? Where is good to go?

Super good! Kuala Lumpur lived with a good nightlife time. You can having a busking in Ampang while having dinner or want to try cycling at the night park, go for 'Tasik Titiwangsa'. Malaysian used to 'lepak' with friends at night.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kuala Lumpur?

No matter where you go, make sure to keep your stuffs safe. Leave your passport in safety box, don't keep too much cash. If you are from a cold weather country, you might not used to live with one season country cause Malaysia only have sunny. Wear comfortable clothes but make sure its fully/half-closed attire, no naked. You will get stare from everybody around and get harrassed I guess.
