Taxi driver

I made a very interesting trip with my friend a few days ago. You know, taxi drivers cheat tourists, at least that's what I think. Anyway, Let me explain it.

Yesterday, I went to Galeria Krakowska with my friend for shopping. After some shopping and buying everything that we needed, we decided to go back home.

Nevertheless, it was very cold. On our way back to the house, we looked for a bus but we couldn't find anything. After that, we took on a taxi, surely by my request.

Taxi driver was Polish and he didn't speak English. We showed him the place on Google Maps immediately. We also told the name of this place and he just replied "OK" by shaking his head. After that, we followed where we were going and he was going in a wrong direction, we were moving away more and more. Was he trying to cheat or was he being just careless. We told him the campus we were going to but he took us to another one. We explained the situation. When he didn't understand it, we got off the taxi immediately.

Of course, way farther than the place we wanted to go to. We went to Galeria Krakowska on foot. We looked for a bus or a tram. My friend said that the bus 601 goes there and I also took it last night.

We said OK and decided to wait. We waited. We saw lots of buses passing by. There were moments when there no people waiting for the bus and then again it was full, but there were no signs of our 601 bus. We saw the timetable after some 30 minutes.

Apparently, it was a night bus. It leaves at 1 am, 2 am and 3 am. Because of that, my friend thought that was the one. After that, desperate and even though it was really cold, we walked for about 25 minutes.

To sum up, if you don't want to find yourself in the same situation, don’t take the taxi without knowing a place or address, this is my advice to friends, brothers who travel. Otherwise, it is a waste of money. One more thing, you will freeze to death too, and, what's more, you will find yourself very hungry and you will want to get some meal, one more thing...
