POLLUTED
Krakow is a nice city, but I found it too small for staying one semester. It would have been nice to visit for one week, but that would have been enough. There are many students and young people, which is good, and the city is very cheap; however, I don't know why people say that the nightlife is amazing. Compared to Milan, where I live, there are not so many clubs and if you don't like techno music there is very little choice of places to go. Most of the clubs are small, underground, and only play techno music. It's really not my thing. It's also important to note that Krakow is the MOST POLLUTED city in EUROPE, due to carbon buring and factories emissions. The situation is really beyond safe limits, with the city being invaded by dark fog in most winter days, it definetly smells like chemicals and causes a permanent state of cough and sore throat. Looking back, I would not choose Krakow again for my semester abroad.
