What is it like to live in Krakow? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Cracow is a very pretty, historical town. It has amazing architecture (especially old town), it is cosy and nice. As it is a student city there are many parties going on almost the whole week. A lot of sightseeing possible, museums, cinemas. Nice for walks, city transport mostly works well too. Better to be here in the summer though. Weather in winter might be nasty sometimes and the air is polluted at the time.

What is the student lifestyle like in Krakow?

It depends on the university, and how much you want to learn. I think people try to keep parties and studying balanced.

How much does it cost to live in Krakow?

Restaurants are quite expensive, but you can find cheap, good bars. I guess food in shops is around prices like in other European cities. You can rent a room for long term accommodation from 200 euro per month. Public transport is cheaper for students (around half a euro per ticket). Alcohol is cheap.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Krakow? Is there any advice you can give?

I don't think it is really difficult.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Polish food is not very interesting, to be honest. We have good soups and pierogi. There is pizza and Asian food on every corner though.

What places would you recommend visiting in Krakow?

Wawel Castle, National Museum, Jewish District, Podgórze District, Salt Mine Wieliczka, Manggha Museum, MoCAK Museum, Old Town (Market Square and around) and many more.

Is it good to eat out in Krakow? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Urara Sushi, Ramen People, Akita Ramen. About pizza there is a lot of good places. For Polish food maybe Smakołyki, u Babci Maliny and Stara Kuchnia.

Is the nightlife good in Krakow? Where is good to go?

Many parties around the city. I like Dolnych Młynów (many clubs in one place) and Alchemia.

What advice would you give future students heading to Krakow?

I don't know. Smile a lot, that's a really nice city.
