Would you recommend the city and the University of Krakow to other students?
I would like to recommend just the city for now. The university I've only attended for 1 day so I can't make any conclusions yet!
What is the food like?
Different, but there's something for everyone.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Krakow?
Yes, I payed 1150 PLN (around €266).
How much does it cost to live in Krakow?
I pay 1500 PLN (around €347).
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
No, it's very hard to learn Polish, and yes there is a language course.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Krakow from your city?
Flying, Norwegian is a good option.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Krakow?
Any bar or club. Use your ESN card for 50% off and free entry in some places. Alchemia is a nice bar in Kazimierz.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Krakow?
Use Tripadvisor.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Kazimierz, Wawel castle, Zakopane.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Krakow in the future?
I haven't been here that long yet so, maybe in a few months I will know more.
