Why did you choose to go to Cracovia, Polonia?

To discover the eastern part of Europe, that I didn't know (never went before).

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship lasts for four or five months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cracovia?

When it's sunny, you can go for a walk after class to the "green crown" which surrounds the historical center; on the evening you can find many busy places with a great atmosphere (pub, club, cafés); the very heart of the town is quite small (and very beautiful) so it's easy to have a little "routine".

Would you recommend the city and the University of Cracovia to other students?

Yes, the city is really friendly and nice to see (personally I loved the red bricks buildings). Also the university staff is very competent.

What is the food like?

We don't lack anything (except cream, maybe). Meat, onion and cabbage: Central food in Cracovia.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cracovia?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Cracovia?

It's quite cheap.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yep, there are language courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Cracovia from your city?

Plane or train. Depending on when you book your transport, one can be more expensive than another. One thing is sure: train takes longer.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Cracovia?

Bracka 4: very nice and private parties every Mondays with all the Erasmus students

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Cracovia?

What polish call "Milk bar": any of them. They are very cheap and so nice, the perfect combo for students.

I also have a crush on the restaurant Camelot.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Crush: The salt mine and all the parks around the city (such as Ojcow)

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Cracovia in the future?

Don't we afraid when you see little alleys in the streets : u can find very good hidden spots there; just explore!
