I chose this city randomly.
How long was the scholarship? How much money did you receive to help you with living costs?
I lived there for half a year and I got about 300 euros a month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Krakow?
It's interesting to study at Jagiellonian university - teachers are great there. In addition, Krakow is full of activities and places to visit.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Krakow to other students?
Jagiellonian University is great - go and study there if you have an opportunity!
What is the food like?
Food is casual, but cheap. Sweets are very cheap as well.
How much did your accommodation cost in Krakow?
It costs me around 500-600 zloty per month.
How much did it cost to live in Krakow?
I survived with 300 euros a month, but I had to watch my budged carefully.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There were language courses at the university - I did not take them.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Krakow from your city?
With the tram, bicycle or on foot.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Krakow?
Grodzka 42 bar.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Krakow?
There are food stands at the jews district, where they make traditional big sandwiches. Try them out!
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The churches, castle, zoo, Kosciuszko Mound and other mounds around city.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Krakow in the future?
Watch out for birds! They poop.
