Why did you choose to go to Krakow, Poland?
My friends who studied, or lived in Krakow gave me recommendations. Before I chose Krakow I did some research, because I had limited budget I wanted visit beautiful city with lot of opportunities-which Krakow is
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
My was for 5 months 340 euro per month
Would you recommend the city and the University of Krakow to other students?
FOR SURE, I can not find one negative thing about it
What is the food like?
cheap and delicious, restaurant,or some "milk bar" is on every corner
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Krakow?
I had a lil bit difficult situation with acc. but in two or three days you can easily find sth, I have to warn before enriching motivesof local (polish at all) landlords or agencies, who will charge you extra money for anythings,but when you wont be pasive and argue you will achive yours.
How much does it cost to live in Krakow?
approx. 360-400€/month with everything
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
for me as Slovakian was Polish language easy,I understood polish before my departure to Poland, but UEK provides courses for beginners and intermediates (2 lectures in week)
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Krakow from your city?
it really depends on your home country/city from some is better by plane, from some by train.. from slovakia is the most economical and easiest by private commerial/ or own transportation
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Krakow?
in centre are many options,Krakow never sleeps. I prefered bars in Kazimierz. My favourites- Kalashnikov, Antycafe,BaniaLuka, Ambasada Sledzia,Alchemia,Harris Piano Jazz Bar, Kolanko N°6, Mostowa Art Cafe,Opium...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Krakow?
Kuchnia domowa,Restauracja Trezo (Kazimierz), every "Bar Mlieczny"
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
a lot, just ask local people, or take some booklet.. ESN will take care of you, provides many trips
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Krakow in the future?
Just enjoy beautiful city, beautiful people,great opportunities,interesting mix of cultures (many foreigners). :-) have fun.cheers
