What is the student lifestyle like in Krakow?
As an Erasmus student it is great. There are many trips and events for Erasmus students which make studying in Krakow that much more exciting.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Krakow to other students?
Yes.
What is the food like?
Delicious.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Krakow?
No.
How much does it cost to live in Krakow?
It depends on your budget. At a dormitory you can manage easily on between 1000 - 1500 zł a month (all expenses including food). If you get a one person room in a flat, in total with all expenses you are looking at a minimum of 1500 zł.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There are courses available at the university for all skill levels. The language is very hard, one of the hardest in the world.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Krakow from your city?
Plane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Krakow?
The city center. There are clubs everywhere, you can find one anywhere you go.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Krakow?
Polakowski, Pod Wawelem, U Babci Maliny.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Wawel, Underground Museum, St. Mary's Church, etc.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Krakow in the future?
Be prepared for a great time.
