Why did you choose to go to Krakow, Poland?

I was looking for an eastern country because of the prices, and after reading some blogs about a few cities I chose Krakow.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

10 months. I got 300€ the first 5 months, 1500€ in total.

What is the student lifestyle like in Krakow?

Relaxed and entertained.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Krakow to other students?

Yes, of course.

What is the food like?

It is not Spain of course, but it's OK.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Krakow?

It took me like 6 days looking for it in person.

How much does it cost to live in Krakow?

It depends, in dormitory and trying to spend as less as possible, 400€ per month. With 700€ you can live without any problem and travel. Finally, with 1000€ you can live very well.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, we have Polish lessons, but it is difficult. Most of us only know how to say "hello", "bye", "good morning", "gracias", and these typical words.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Krakow from your city?

By plane, between 25€ and 100€, normal prices are often around 40 and 70€.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Krakow?

Clubs in the center or bars in Kazimierz.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Krakow?

Koko and Bordo are the cheapest, and Pod Wawelen, MoaBurguer, Plac Nowy for Zapiekanka.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Auschwitz, salt mines, center of the city, Kazimierz and Wawel Castle.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Krakow in the future?

Krakow is full of Spanish Erasmus and travelers the whole year. We must be the 50-60% of the total erasmus.
