Why did you choose to go to Krakow, Poland?

Because Krakow is very cheap to live in and because I wanted to know a very different place because of its culture and because of its weather.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It depends but normally only 1000 euros. However, if you have an special scholarship from your university or region, the scholarship could get 1800 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Krakow?

Almost all young people study. Depending on the university, you could have more facilities to pass the subjects (normally it is in this way).

Would you recommend the city and the University of Krakow to other students?

Of course, but you should remember that they are so different from people from Spain... Polish people are a little racist, cold... However, at night they are so different and funny... because of vodka, maybe.

What is the food like?

Going to a restaurant to eat is so cheap! Food is delicious… But be careful because you could gain weight because they eat a lot (because of the cold, maybe).

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Krakow?

No, because almost all Erasmus students are in dormitories. The university sends students all information.

How much does it cost to live in Krakow?

So cheap! Going to a restaurant (3-4 euros), doing the courses in the supermarket for 2 or 3 weeks (17 euros), partying (if you are Erasmus, you will get some discounts on Mondays and Tuesdays... free entrance, etc).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is very difficult, but university offers good courses and you will get some ECTS for your LA.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Krakow from your city?

Polskibus, Lux Express, Leo Express between countries.

However, to travel to your city in your country the best option in by plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Krakow?

City center and Teatro Cubano.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Krakow?

The Grandmother, Coco Restaurant, Bordo, Milkbars.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Concentration camps, synagogues, churches, etc.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Krakow in the future?

Be careful with the pollution and the manners in the bus... They are so conservative and "good-mannered" and also, they don´t like foreign people.
