Košice is a really lovely city. I will never regret my choice to study here. It is one of the best city to choose for your Erasmus. There is a lot of international students, not only Erasmus students so you will find a lot of friends here from different countries. Foreign young people just loves Košice.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kosice?

There are many things to do in your free time. The beautiful square offers you a lot of restaurants to spare time with your friends with delicious food and coffee. Or you can go to play billiard, tennis and there is also new swimming pool, lake with a beautiful panorama or a Zoo with a lot of animals to see. So you have really a lot of opportunities to fill your free time.

How much does it cost to live in Kosice?

It depends on your life standard. Košice is not a very expensive city. You can find a place to live around 60 euros per month like a room in a dorm, or a room in a flat for 100 euros per month. Prices depend on the location. Food is not so much expensive, for example - restaurants (menu- for 3 euros, beer for 1 euro, coffee - 1 or 2 euros) markets (bread- about 1 euro, yoghurts - from 0, 20 euros).

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kosice? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not so difficult to find accommodation in Košice for Slovak students and also for internationals students. You can check these groups on Facebook: group 1 and group 2.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kosice?

Zoo, lake, the square, the theatre, cinemas, Gazebo, billiard and bowling places...

Is it good to eat out in Kosice? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, there is a beautiful square which offers a lot of great restaurants. I can recommend Pizza Cafe Napoli and Rosto Steak House - also favourite restaurants of visitors from another countries. Also check this group.

Is the nightlife good in Kosice? Where is good to go?

Košice offers great night clubs - the best are Ibiza, Jazz, Diamond, 2Space. There are great thematic parties every week and during the weekends.
