What is it like to live in Kosice? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
The city is rather small and I think that for international people there might not be enough opportunities for entertainment. Yet, there is a very pleasant atmosphere, especially in the summer. A lot of artistic events take place.
What is the student lifestyle like in Kosice?
I don't know. I grew up there but moved away for my university studies.
How much does it cost to live in Kosice?
Not much. I would say that if you're modest, you'll need 300 euros per month.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kosice? Is there any advice you can give?
I don't know. There are not many international students there and older people usually do not speak English.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
First of all, it is rather cheap. I would recommend a typical Slovak meal - bryndzove halusky.
What places would you recommend visiting in Kosice?
The city center, and although it is not directly in Kosice, but it only takes 2 hours to get there - High Tatras national park.
Is it good to eat out in Kosice? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
The vegan restaurant, Govinda
Is the nightlife good in Kosice? Where is good to go?
Probably, yes. The clubs Ibiza and Jazz.
