Why did you choose to go to Costanza, Germany?

Because I'd like to learn German and among German-speaking cities I could chose it was the most attractive.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship is for 10 months. I receive 230 euros per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Costanza?

Great! I like the fact that since the city is not so big you can meet your friends everyday without wasting hours for transport like you should do in a big city for example.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Costanza to other students?

Absolutely yes. A lot of international students and a wonderful surrounding, unique in Germany. Since the strategic position in Europe you can travel a lot.

What is the food like?

Not bad! A bit fat, a lot of meat and potatoes. Repetitive sometimes.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Costanza?

The organization Seezeit did everything, well organized. But on theory you can't choose where to stay, they decide for you, at least in the first semester; then you can move where do you want.

How much does it cost to live in Costanza?

Once you know the best place for shopping, eating, etc not so much; 600 euros more or less I think are enough.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

I started as a total beginner here so I used only English. Courses at the university are very efficient. But the language is quite difficult. Moreover, all friends of mine already talking German said they have a very strong accent, one of the worst in Germany.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Costanza from your city?

From Northern Italy by train to Zurich and then Meinfernbus to Konstanz, or by car.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Costanza?

Shamrock, Cocktailbar or Shooters for drinking; and for clubs Berrys, Blechnerei or Kantine. There's a lot of house parties.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Costanza?

There are many typical 'brauhaus', Johann Albrecht Brauhaus overall; "Syrtaki" for Greek food and many Turkish cheap places.
