To experience a Scandinavian living/culture

5 and a half months. Over 700eu a month

What is the student lifestyle like in Kolding?

Quiet

Would you recommend the city and the University of Kolding to other students?

It depend what kind of experience you are looking for. Kolding is a small town and not much goes on. Having friends makes the experience much more enjoyable as it’s an easy way to pass time and have some fun

Quite good, can find most things in supermarkets. The bread took some time to get used to.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Kolding?

Yes

Depends on your lifestyle, how you spend your time and budget. Monthly living can vary, but would say from 700eu a month upwards

Everyone speaks english which is useful when staying for a short period of time

Airplane

Depends what you enjoy. We would go the the English Pub for open mic nights ect. The options are limited

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Kolding?

Most students don’t really dine out since its quite expensive. I only dined out a few times, when we had friends or family over. With that being said, I would recommend The Mokka Cafe, Tobbers and Atami Sushi

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Mainly Trapholt Museum. We went on a few day trips around Denmark which was very enjoyable

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Kolding in the future?

Kolding is a small and quiet town, but its also in the center of Denmark making it easy to travel around (You can get some good tickets with Flix Bus). There’s alot of students because of the three universities located there so most of the time you can find something going on. Its a nice place to live in and having and making friends there makes the experience worthwhile.
