What is it like to live in Kyiv? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

There is a lot of great architecture and spectacular sites. In Kyiv you should drive a car, it's a big city and not very convenient to ride a bike. There are no city bikes available for rent.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kiev?

Lots of party clubs, bars and places to meet.

How much does it cost to live in Kyiv?

200 euro one-bed flat, 300 euro for food per month, everything else is up to you.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kyiv? Is there any advice you can give?

Use "dobovo", because it's a great website, also "airbnb" and "booking" can be used.

What is the food like? What are your favorite dishes?

Food is very delicious and tasty. Try Ukrainian cuisine - it's not for healthy dieting people but it's great.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kyiv?

Andrew descent, downtown, government district, victory memorial, botanic garden, etc.

Is it good to eat out in Kyiv? Can you tell us your favorite spots?

Any restaurant on Andrew descent is great, also use Foursquare app, new great places are emerging every day.

Is the nightlife good in Kyiv? Where is good to go?

Do not know, not going to clubs already for 15 years.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kyiv?

Get yourself warm clothes in winter, learn Russian language, almost nobody speaks English.
