What is it like to live in Kiev? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Kiev is the capital and the largest city of Ukraine, with 3 million population. Kiev is an industrial, scientific, educational, and cultural centre. It is home to many high-tech industries, higher education institutions and world-famous historical landmarks. The city has an extensive infrastructure and highly developed system of public transport, including the Kiev Metro.

How much does it cost to live in Kiev?

I think Ukraine is the cheapest place to live in Europe, I mean the cost of living is very cheap, you can rent a flat from 150 Eurosper month, or shared room for 90 Euros, the bus and metro cost 0, 5 Euros.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kiev? Is there any advice you can give?

For me is not difficult to find the accommodation in Kiev, I just go to the internet and send a request by mail, do not to pay money in advance.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is very tasty and varieties, a lot of meat and vegetable, I like soup and this kind of ravioli they call it (pilmeni).

What places would you recommend visiting in Kiev?

to the museum to discover more the history of Ukraine, the architecture of the church... you can check on google.

Is it good to eat out in Kiev? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it's good and clean... I like to go to cafeteria because you can choose and have the a real meal, you don't have to wait :)

Is the nightlife good in Kiev? Where is good to go?

I went only once in Indigo but it was not so bad...

What advice would you give future students heading to Kiev?

Do not fall in love with Vodka! It's a Joke! but very useful to learn the Russian or Ukrainian language.
