Why did you choose to go to Katowice, Poland?

At first it was my only option for Erasmus at my level of degree in the university, but after I did some research about the city and the area I decided it was the best option anyway.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship lasted 5 months and a half, and I received almost 400 euros per month. This is more than enough for accommodation in the dormitory, traveling around and parties.

What is the student lifestyle like in Katowice?

Katowice has a very lively student lifestyle. There are many places to have fun and it's very close to other cities where you can travel and visit.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Katowice to other students?

I would recommend the University for sure, because it has some of the best teachers I had i my life. They care more about the practice parts of the teaching process, thus helping you for the real problems you may face in the future.

What is the food like?

The food was very similar to my home country, but i enjoyed it anyway.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Katowice?

I decided to stay in the universities dormitory, so I didn't had to look much for it.

How much does it cost to live in Katowice?

For me, the 400 euros from my scholarship was enough to have a good life there, I only spent more during holiday season and for some unexpected trips.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I found polish language very hard, but not impossible. The university offers language courses, which are very fun and help you a lot with the day to day language.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Katowice from your city?

I live in Bucharest and I opted to come by plane to Katowice.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Katowice?

I usually spend my nights in Kwadraty and Pomarancza.
