This museum is of the greatest museums I've ever been! The exhibits date from the prehistoric years to the modern history of the 90s. The size of the exhibits ranges from small coins, bank notes or check from the time of the Swedish occupation to big rooms that have been decorated to illustrate house parts, offices or shops in full scale, dating several decades ago. There is also a 3D map of the Jyväskylä area. Once in a while in the museums premises there are specific theme exhibitions taking places.
Tip: Take a Finn friend of yours with you and go, so that s/he can give you additional details on the exhibits or specific historical moments in order for you to get full advantage of your visit to the museum!
