What is it like to live in Jaén? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
There's so much to see in Jaen. You must visit the Castle and the Catedral. There is a lot of Antiques and lots of fun in the market square (pub, restaurant).
What is the student lifestyle like in Jaén?
Excellent. You can choose: study and party, or just party.
How much does it cost to live in Jaén?
300 euros each month but it depends (flat about 150 euros).
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Jaén? Is there any advice you can give?
Lots of people look for a flatmate or someone who rents a flat. But the best is to rent a room for a few days in hotel, and at this time look for a flat.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
We went for tapas, I have to say that everything was good, very tasty.
What places would you recommend visiting in Jaén?
The Cathedral is very beautiful and the castle, there are also Arab baths and a lot of streets of the old town.
Is it good to eat out in Jaén? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Bars are very cheap and with good meals, for example, el Santuario.
Is the nightlife good in Jaén? Where is good to go?
Karma or DM is the places where a lot of university students would go, and parties finish about 6 or 7 in the morning.
What advice would you give future students heading to Jaén?
Most of the people here are very friendly and helpful but you must speak Spanish as everyone here practically speaks only in Spanish.
