What do you think about living in Jaén? Do you recommend it? How is it?
It's small, safe, and very easy not to get lost. It has everything that a modern and large city needs. It's cheap and there are many offers regarding flats and gastronomy.
How is the student atmosphere in Jaén?
There is a great number of national and Erasmus students.
How much does it cost to live in Jaén?
I recommend living in a residence in a shared room (550€ month). There are flats for 150€ monthly but they are small and far for the campus.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Jaén? Can you give any piece of advice?
Find a place in a residence.
How is the national food? What are your favourite dishes?
Spain is wonderful if we talk about gastronomy. The best is acorn-fed Iberian ham.
What places do you recommend to visit in Jaén?
Santa Catalina's castle and the Cathedral. Absolutely marvellous.
And to eat out in Jaén? Can you mention your favourite places?
'100 Montaditos'.
What places do you recommend to go out in Jaén?
'Mambo', 'Karma', and 'Friends'.
Do you have any piece of advice you want to give to future students coming to Jaén?
You have to get used to going up and coming down slopes.
