Is a city of around 200k habitants. A small centre , easy to learn and easy to access. With the central square of the city called Krini of Morozini or ''the lions''because of the lions figures in the central fountain of the square.
What is the student lifestyle like in Irakleion?
The student life is very active with many places to visit especially during summer but also during winter. Because in general crete has the advantage to gather in a small ratius sea side and country drive.
How much does it cost to live in Irakleion?
To rent a room costs for about 300 euros for 20-30 square meters.
The bus cost depends but its affordable. Going out is not so much expensive as other cities in europe like Parma in Italy or Dijon in france
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Irakleion? Is there any advice you can give?
To find accomodation is a hard task so its better to be arranged from distance
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Triditional local mediterannean food in general but in high quality.
What places would you recommend visiting in Irakleion?
Definitely the museum of Heraklion and '' Knwssos''
Is it good to eat out in Irakleion? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
a restaurant with local food called '' Erganos''And an other local traditional restaurant-barr called ''Pesksesi''
Is the nightlife good in Irakleion? Where is good to go?
For night there two special interesting bars called ''enodia and ''cukos''or also the ''Opus Wine Bar'' and ''Barraki''
What advice would you give future students heading to Irakleion?
Absolutely , because has a perfect ranking as univercity in the natural sciences and a very attractive life for students especially during summer
