It is a little difficult to find accommodation there because they don’t rent a lot of rooms so it might me expensive to find a home and stay alone.. you may find a roommate on your own before trying to rent a house

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is perfect in whole greece.. the best of course is souvlaki and is very cheap also.. don’t skip the tavernas too with the traditional Greek food

What places would you recommend visiting in Irakleion?

One has to visit the historical museum and Knossos . Also the aquarium is beautiful. It’s the best to stay in Heraklion in the summer because it’s full of beautiful beaches

Is it good to eat out in Irakleion? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes it’s the best.. as I told you before.. souvlaki and tabernas

Yes night life is wonderful. In the city center it has a lot of places for wine and tsipouro. And after that you can join the clubs in the center
