Yes, it took a lot of work. I would advise looking for everything in advance, there are a lot of people looking for accommodation. Posting your interest on the internet is a also a good idea.

I would recommend visiting hafencity, jungfernstieg, Reeperbahn, sternchanze and stadtpark.

Do you have any advice for students coming to Hamburg in the future?

It's very windy and it rains a lot here, I'd recommend always having a good coat and an umbrella for the rain :)
