Hamburg is a beautiful city with many shopping possibilities. Everything is very central and you can quickly go everywhere you want. There are many monuments to visit.
How much does it cost to live in Hamburg?
Living in Hamburg is becoming more and more expensive, especially the apartments, so you should expect 800 euros per month.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There are a lot of restaurants in Hamburg offering food from different countries. I prefer Turkish dishes and also Asian food.
What places would you recommend visiting in Hamburg?
Planten un Blomen, Hamburg harbour, Elbstrand and Alster. If you visit Hamburg in the summer, than you should also go to the Hamburger Dom, a large fair held in the city three times a year.
Is it good to eat out in Hamburg? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
- For a Turkish Meal - Öz Urfa Kebap Haus or Bona'me
- For sushi - Mr. Cherng or Ichiban
- For a burger - Traumkuh or Café Türkis
- For a pizza - L´Osteria
Is the nightlife good in Hamburg? Where is good to go?
Reeperbahn is the best spot for parties.
What advice would you give future students heading to Hamburg?
If you want to come to Hamburg, come in the summer. Because in the summer you can go to the city park for a barbecue or chill on the Elbe beach. Unfortunately, the weather is not always sunny, so be sure to bring an umbrella, because it rains often.
