How much does it cost to live in Hamburg?

When you are a student in Hamburg, I think you need about 700 euros to live comfortable.

• 250 - 300 euros for a pleasant room
• 150 - 200 euros for food and some junk food too
• 90 euros for insurance (obligatory)
• 10 euros for a mobile phone
• 60 euros for transport, in case you don't have a ticket from your university

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hamburg? Is there any advice you can give?

It depends on how much money you have, when you look for a flat for about 150 - 250 euros, it is very difficult, but with 300 - 400 euros, it is not so hard to find a good flat for yourself.

What advice would you give future students heading to Hamburg?

In my opinion, I think Hamburg is not only the best city in Germany, but also the best city in Europe.

You should come to Hamburg at least once in your life and live here.
