Why did you choose to go to Hamburg, Germany?

Because, Hamburg is really big and beautiful city with its rivers and harbours. I am studying International Logistics so I think this city also has a big importance in terms of logistics.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am ERASMUS student. So I don't have to pay for this school and Erasmus gave us some money for 6 months (approx. 1700 euro).

What is the student lifestyle like in Hamburg?

It is so regular. When you keep your step with the rules, it is quite easy. You have to join classes on time.

Also there are lots of discounts for students for night life, museums, transportation cards...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Hamburg to other students?

I really recommend, it met my all expectations more than I hope.

I am studying at another private university (HSBA).

What is the food like?

There is no many options to eat! It is better and healthier, if you cook in your kitchen. So you can save money and be healthier.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Hamburg?

You can find quite cheap places. I am living in a dormitory. It is a bit far away from centre but cheap and peaceful. There are lots of options for students.

How much does it cost to live in Hamburg?

I am living with my friend and we share our room rent. So I just pay 200 euro per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I don't know Hamburg University, but in my university there is no. So they get us some discounts from language schools. So if you want you can learn and make practise with the Germans.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Hamburg from your city?

You should buy a monthly transportation cards (cost 75 euro per month). So we can use it for bus and trains and if you really close to uni, you can use bicycle.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Hamburg?

Reeperbahn and St. Pauli. You can find every kind of clubs or bars there. It is one of the most famous place of Hamburg. But If you want to just drink something and talk with your friends, you should go a bar in Sternschanze.

L'osteria or Jims Block.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

You can find lots of museums and place to visit in Hamburg. You should see Rathaus, Alster, Elbe, Fischmarkt and Landungsbrucken and should take a boat trip.
