Why did you choose to go to Hamburgo, Alemania?

It felt like an interesting city and I've always wanted to live or study in Germany.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship lasted for 6 months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Hamburgo?

Really livable. Lot of parties and things happening all the time and everywhere.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Hamburgo to other students?

I would! Experience was overall really worth it.

What is the food like?

Lot of options to choose.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Hamburgo?

For me the process was simple but I have heard other stories as well.

How much does it cost to live in Hamburgo?

Outside student residencies, quite expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Lot of language courses are offered. I recommend studying at least a bit of German. Luckily Hamburg is relatively international city.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Hamburgo from your city?

From Finland with a plain but Hamburg also has excellent train and bus connections.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Hamburgo?

There are many nice and famous neighborhoods just outside the historical center.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Hamburgo?

The city is full of interesting restaurants.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are many starting from Elbphilharmonie.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Hamburgo in the future?

I recommend it! Be ready for some nice German bureaucracy, though. And challenging weather on wintertime!
