How much does it cost to live in Hamburg?

Unfortunately the cost of living is a bit expensive, but having said that, Hamburg is not much more expensive than the other cities in Germany.

Is it hard to find accommodation in Hamburg? Can you give any advice to other students?

Yes, it is sometimes hard to find somewhere that is good and affordable. It's almost impossible to find a studio apartment. So I would recommend giving yourself plenty of time to look around.

The best places to party are at Reeperbahn... other than that you have to look around, but there are a few quiet pubs to discover...
